Read Reviews, Compare Features & Get the Best Price Quote on a New Buick 2014
Buick’s five vehicle lineup does not see many changes for 2014, but the GM owned carmaker continues to offer affordable luxury and proudly touts the fact that all of the vehicles it makes won Top Safety Pick awards from the IIHS.
The Verano, the first compact car Buick has offered in over a decade, is the entry level model. It comes with similar styling to the Regal and standard 18-inch wheels. Inside, the materials are upscale and features like acoustic glass and triple-sealed doors make for a quieter, more comfortable interior space than expected for a car of this size and price. For 2014, the Verano adds forward collision warning and lane departure warning as available safety features.
Next up is the midsize Regal sedan, which is also offered as the performance-oriented Regal GS and the the Regal eAssist. 2014 brings a number of updates to the Regal, which include updated exterior styling, overhauled interior controls, a new engine option, and optional all-wheel drive.
The midsize LaCrosse is the flagship sedan for Buick and also gets a slew of updates for 2014 that mirror those in the Regal: exterior styling updates, active grille shutters for increased fuel economy, revised interior layout, and more available technology. The available direct-injected V-6 makes 303-hp and can also take E85 ethanol instead of gas. All-wheel drive is available as an option.
The new Encore is a very small five-seat crossover that is characterized by its short front and rear overhangs. It is the modern evolution of the small SUV, very much at home in urban environments thanks to its small footprint, while keeping the high seating position and extra cargo room that people enjoy. It gets good fuel economy for a near-luxury crossover, at 33 mpg on the highway.
Rounding out Buick’s lineup is the three-row Enclave crossover. The power liftgate comes standard, a welcome convenience feature, while heated and cooled front seats and a navigation system are optional, as is all-wheel drive.
