BMW X5 vs. Infiniti FX50 Review

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the BMW to the dealership as the FX50. Producing an accurate gas mileage evaluation is so hard that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the BMW is the winner in terms of fuel economy. The Infiniti FX50 pales in comparison to the X5 as far as fuel economy. As far as MSRP, the Infiniti FX50 costs significantly more than the X5. The Infiniti FX50 will cost you a lots_of_money in gasoline every year compared to the X5.

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the BMW X5 over the Infiniti FX50. There's no clear winner between the X5 and the FX50 in terms of transporting cargo. Towing is significantly more the X5's forte than it is the Infiniti FX50's.

You will definitely have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Infiniti than with the BMW X5.

The ampler interior dimensions of the BMW X5 make it considerably roomier for your passengers than the Infiniti FX50.

The BMW X5's tank is approximately the same size as the Infiniti FX50's, though the Infiniti FX50's is somewhat larger. The BMW X5 and the Infiniti FX50 compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Infiniti FX50 packs quite a punch and will knock the BMW X5 down a few rungs. On the other hand, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Infiniti FX50 is definitely more maneuverable than the BMW, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, bear in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Infiniti FX50 has a bigger engine than the BMW X5. Remember that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but smaller engines can be stressed more. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Infiniti FX50 is tremendously more powerful than the BMW X5. Torque equals pickup, and the Infiniti FX50 will have picked up and gone by the time the BMW X5 finally gets moving.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the BMW X5 isn't quite as generous as the Infiniti's.
