2014 BMW 750 Overview
BMW's flagship 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan that competes with top-line luxury cars like the Audi A8, Jaguar XJ and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Offered with rear- or all-wheel drive, the 7 Series is also available in regular- and extended-length versions. The luxury sedan comes with four or five seats and is powered by a six-cylinder engine in the 740i and ActiveHybrid 7, a V-8 in the 750i and a V-12 in the 760i. There's also a performance-oriented V-8-powered Alpina B7.
The BMW 750 features alumninum roof, doors, hood and front fenders for less weight. Xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and 18-inch wheels, with 19- and 20-inch wheels available, all come standard. Additional features include LED head lights, high-beam assist automatically dims high beams for oncoming drivers, and adaptive headlights that move with steering wheel optional.
The 7-series comes standard with a 10.2-inch dashboard screen for iDrive system and four-zone climate control, including independent control for rear passengers. Furthermore, rear massaging and ventilated seats, rear entertainment system with dual screens in head restraints, head-up display, night vision with pedestrian detection, and Bang & Olufsen premium stereo come optional.
Under the Hood
The 750 comes standard with a monstrous 445-hp, twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8, in eight-speed automatic transmission in either rear- or all-wheel drive. The engine also comes with fuel-saving stop/start technology.
The BMW features side curtain airbags, front-seat side-impact airbags, and knee airbags fitted inside for maximum passenger collision protection. Electronic stability system and antilock brakes come standard providing vehicle stability, with options for a lane departure warning system and blind spot warning system available.
