2014 BMW 650 Overview (See Available Styles)

The BMW 6 Series comes with either an inline-six or V-8 engine and is offered in coupe and soft-top convertible variants, both of which seat four. The Jaguar XK is the 6 Series' most direct competitor, but you might cross-shop the car against a Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupe or cabriolet too.

New for 2014
The 6 Series gets an updated version of BMW's iDrive controller system that brings revised graphics, new menu interfaces, upgraded navigation and a dictation service for composing short messages.

Additionally, a Frozen Brilliant White Edition of the 650i convertible is available. Only 100 are being made, and features include white matte paint, black mirror caps, a black grille, 20-inch bicolor light-alloy wheels, black leather upholstery, a black soft-top, gray poplar wood trim and a new-for-the-U.S. dynamic digital instrument cluster.

The BMW 6 series boasts standard 18-inch wheels, adaptive xenon headlamps, a glass sunroof with power-sliding sunshade (for coupe only), adaptive LED headlights, and the convertible’s fully automatic soft-top (black or beige) can be operated at speeds up to 25 mph. 19- or 20-inch wheels are also available.

Standard Interior features include a 2+2 seating configuration with small rear seats, power-adjustable seats, and iDrive with a 10.2-inch high-resolution screen and 3D navigation. Additional options include ventilated and massaging front seats, heated steering wheel, and Bang & Olufsen premium stereo.

Under the Hood
The 640i is powered by a 315-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an Eight-speed automatic transmission and steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles. The 640i offers rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options.

Safety Features
Standard safety features include Side-impact airbags for the front seats, antilock brakes, and electronic stability system, pop-up roll bars in the convertible, backup camera, and front and rear parking sensors. Available additional features include parallel-parking assist, surround-view system, blind spot warning system, lane departure warning system with frontal collision warning, and night vision with pedestrian detection.
