The Subaru Impreza will definitely prove handier than the BMW 328 for those of you with frequent kid-cargo.

The BMW 328's tank is about the same size as the Impreza's, though the Subaru Impreza's is somewhat larger. The Impreza and the BMW 328 compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You likely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Impreza than with the BMW 328, because both offer similar ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Subaru Impreza is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the BMW 328. In terms of fuel economy, the BMW 328 and the Subaru don't differ much. The Subaru Impreza is significantly less expensive than the BMW 328 as far as MSRP.
