With its very low horsepower-to-weight ratio, the BMW 3 Series will knock you back into your seat when you hit the gas pedal.

Dimensions
The Lincoln Town Car is quite a bit heavier than the BMW 3 Series. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Lincoln than the BMW because of its more capacious tank. The BMW 3 Series fits in smaller parking spaces than the Lincoln Town Car. The Lincoln Town Car's longer wheelbase will result in a smoother, more stable ride; however, the 3 Series may give a nimbler feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
You won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the BMW than with the Lincoln Town Car, because both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The BMW 3 Series is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Lincoln Town Car. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the BMW 3 Series is slightly more economical than the Lincoln Town Car. Producing an accurate gas mileage evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the 3 Series and the 3 Series perform approximately similarly in terms of fuel economy. The Lincoln Town Car is markedly costlier than the 3 Series when it comes to MSRP. The BMW is quite a bit less expensive than the Lincoln Town Car with respect to final cost.

Handling
The Lincoln Town Car and the BMW have about comparable tires. With its tighter turning circle, the BMW 3 Series is definitely more maneuverable than the Lincoln Town Car, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Town Car's engine is quite a bit more massive than the 3 Series's. Keep in mind that more massive engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Lincoln Town Car will have picked up and gone by the time the BMW finally gets moving. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Lincoln Town Car is significantly more powerful than the BMW 3 Series.

Comfort
Taller drivers will markedly enjoy the extra head room in the Lincoln Town Car's front cabin compared to the BMW 3 Series. The ampler interior dimensions of the Lincoln Town Car make it roomier for your passengers than the BMW 3 Series.
