The Honda Accord will very likely prove handier than the BMW 3 Series for those of you with frequent kid-cargo.

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the BMW 3 Series packs quite a punch and will knock the Honda Accord down a few rungs. However, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The BMW 3 Series is quite a bit more ponderous than the Honda Accord. The BMW's tank is about the same size as the Honda Accord's, though the Honda Accord's is a tad more capacious. The BMW 3 Series and the Accord compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Honda Accord is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the BMW 3 Series. Regarding MSRP, the Accord costs tremendously less than the BMW 3 Series.

Handling
The BMW 3 Series and the Honda Accord have about similar tires. With its tighter turning circle, the Honda Accord is doubtless nimbler than the 3 Series, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

The BMW 3 Series's engine is significantly larger than the Honda Accord's. Note that larger engines may use more gas than smaller ones.

While the front cabin in the Honda offers a bit more head room than the 3 Series, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the BMW 3 Series make it considerably more spacious for your passengers than the Accord.
