New 2009 BMW 135

Price, Photos, Reviews & Features
2009 BMW 135 Overview
The 2009 BMW 135 is an entry-level sports coupe and a carryover from the 2008 model. Similar to the BMW 128, the 135 is slightly sportier and more powerful, combining BMW quality with entry level cost.

The BMW 135 coupe will be introduced first, and a convertible version will come out later in the model year. Both body types come equipped with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine capable of creating 300-horsepower. The engine is controlled by either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto manual. The car's powerful engine can get 17 mpg in the city and 25-26 mpg on the freeway.

Standard features on the 135 include a power sunroof (on the hardtop), power climate control, and an easy on the eyes and hands leather wrapped steering wheel. Other standard features include heated door mirrors and front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers and an in-dash mounted CD player which is compatible with a CD changer. The convertible trim utilizes a soft top and shares all the spectacular features of the coupe body type. Add voice recognition, Bluetooth compatibility and stolen vehicle tracking for just a bit more.

Much like the 128 trim, the 135 has numerous safety options standard. Anti-lock ABS brakes and stability control help avoid most accidents and keep the powerful car on the road. Front and side-impact airbags come standard in both body types. Side curtain air bags come standard in the coupe, and knee protection air bags come standard in the convertible. To make the owner feel even more secure, the 135 comes with a 48 month/50,000 mile warranty.

Not only does the 2009 BMW 135 bring style, substance and a powerful engine to the table, it also comes at a price competitive with other cars in its class. Choose the 135 and welcome a spirited car in the face of the standard, boring fare.
