2014 Audi SQ5 Overview (See Available Styles)

  • Performance variant of the Q5 crossover
  • Lowered suspension for better handling
  • Standard all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission
The 2014 Audi SQ5 is a new model that is the first performance oriented crossover/SUV in Audi’s lineup.

Building on the two-row Q5, the SQ5 gets a few distinctive styling touches such as quad exhausts, aluminum side mirror housings, and gray accents in the grille. Large 20-inch wheels are standard, with 21-inch wheels also available. This is all on top of attractive LED light bars in the headlights, automatic headlights, heated side mirrors, and aluminum roof rails.

The 2014 SQ5 features a version of the Q5’s supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine that has been tuned to produce 354-hp and 347 pounds-feet of torque. Power runs to the standard all-wheel drive system through an eight-speed automatic transmission. There is also a lowered suspension for improved handling and an available Dynamic Steering Package, which offers variable ratios and assist levels for the steering and sharper torque vectoring.

Audi’s dedication to build quality and upmarket materials is on full display in the SQ5. All of the surfaces are soft-touch leather or synthetics, and they are assembled with the precision that only Audi knows. The SQ5 comes standard with a tilt/telescoping multifunction steering wheel, ten speaker stereo, automatic climate control, and adjustable power seats. In addition, the rear bench slides forward and back and offers 40/20/40-split folding, offering plenty of cargo flexibility for all of your shopping needs. Added technology/comfort options include a hard-drive-based navigation system, real wood trim pieces, extra-soft leather seats, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and Bluetooth/iPod compatibility.

Standard safety features include six airbags, traction/stability control, and four-wheel ABS disc brakes. The safety options are equally impressive: rear-passenger side airbags, hill-descent control, side-assist, and adaptive cruise control are also available.
