2012 Audi S4 Exterior

2012 Audi S4 Overview (See Available Styles)

The 2012 Audi S4 is the sportier version of Audi’s A4 luxury sedan and adds some edginess to the A4’s comfort.

From the outside, the differences between the S4 and the A4 are subtle but noticeable if you’re looking for them. It shares the same basic silhouette but adds a few pieces, such as unique side skirts, front and rear splitters, quad exhaust pipes, and larger wheels. The tweaks give the 2012 S4 a more aggressive lean to it, a feeling that is backed up when you consider what’s under the hood. The S4 is only available as a sedan, unlike the A4 which also comes as a wagon.

The 2012 S4 is equipped with a 333-horsepower, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 that outputs 325 pounds-feet of torque. That represents a 122-horsepower gain over the A4’s turbocharged four-cylinder. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch “S tronic” automatic. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system comes standard for maximum traction. Quattro splits power 40/60 to the front/rear wheels, which means you get rear-wheel drive driving dynamics with maximum traction and control.

There are two available trims of the S4: Premium Plus and Prestige. Both trims come with specialized S4 sport seats on the inside, along with leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts. The Premium Plus trim comes equipped with Bluetooth® connectivity, an iPod interface, HomeLink® remote, driver seat memory, heated front seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Jumping up to the Prestige keeps all the Premium Plus features but adds larger 19” alloy wheels, Audi’s MMI and Navigation system which displays 3D topography, rear parking sensors, and a Bang & Olufsen® 14-speaker sound system.

Safety features include a full suite of airbags, electronic stability control, LATCH rear seats, and antilock brakes with brake assist. Four-years of Audi 24-hour Roadside Assistance also comes with the purchase of a new S4.

With a great mix of luxurious features and razor-sharp performance, the 2012 Audi S4 is a luxury that can truly do it all.
