Audi A6 vs. Acura RL Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Acura is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Audi A6. The Audi A6 won't tax your gasoline budget markedly more than the Acura will. Regarding fuel economy, the Acura RL is somewhat better than the Audi A6, but not by much. With respect to MSRP, the Acura doesn't cost much less than the Audi A6. When it comes to final price, the A6 costs quite a bit more than the Acura RL.

Utility
The Audi A6's more sizeable trunk will accommodate more large items than the Acura RL. The Audi A6 and the RL can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Audi A6 for a fill-up about as often as the Acura RL.

Comfort
Taller drivers will quite a bit enjoy the extra head room in the Acura's front cabin compared to the Audi A6. While the rear of the A6 offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the RL, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Audi A6 is a tad heavier than the Acura RL. The RL's tank is about the same size as the Audi A6's, though the Audi A6's is a tad larger. The RL rides lower than the A6, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The Audi A6 and the Acura RL compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the A6 and the Acura RL indubitably handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Acura's engine is quite a bit smaller than the Audi A6's. Keep in mind that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; however, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. The RL could learn a lesson or two from the Audi A6 when it comes to torque. Torque equals pickup, and the Audi A6 will have picked up and gone by the time the Acura RL finally gets moving.
