New 2010 Audi A6

Fresh off its 2009 redesign, the 2010 Audi A6 midsize luxury sedan and wagon (Avant) features no significant changes—just more of the same luxury features, styling cues and power and acceleration you’re used to seeing from Audi.

Competing with the BMW 5 Series, Infiniti M sedan, Lexus GS sedan and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the 2010 Audi A6 is available in four trim levels: 3.2, 3.0T Quattro, 4.2 Quattro and 3.0T Avant Quattro. The 2010 Audi A6 also offers three engine choices: a standard 265-horsepower, 3.2-liter V-6, a 300-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 or a 350-horsepower, 4.2-liter V-8. A seven-speed continuously variable automatic transmission is standard, and a six-speed automatic is optional. Quattro all-wheel drive is also available. Direct injection technology increases the A6’s power and efficiency. EPA-estimated fuel efficiency is between 16-18 mpg in the city and 23-26 mpg on the highway.

The 2010 Audi A6 seats up to five passengers with a 60/40-split folding bench seat in the rear. 17-inch alloy wheels are standard, but the sport package offers optional 18-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, or 19-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tires.

When equipped with an optional cold weather package, the A6 comes with a heated steering wheel with shift paddles. Premium Plus models enjoy a third-generation navigation system that includes SIRIUS Traffic Logic. Other interior features include aluminum trim on the steering wheel and center console, standard keyless entry, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, optional heated front and rear seats and optional rear sonar parking assist.

Standard safety features include side-impact and side-curtain airbags, antilock brakes and electronic stability system with traction control. Safety options include a blind spot warning system that illuminates a light on the side mirror if a car occupies that side's blind spot and a lane departure warning system that vibrates the steering wheel if you stray out of your lane.
