2014 Audi A6 Overview
The Audi A6 midsize luxury sedan is available with front- or all-wheel drive and a range of engines that includes a turbocharged four-cylinder, supercharged V-6 or new turbo-diesel V-6. The A6's competitors include the BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS, Jaguar XF and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, among others.
New for 2014
A turbo-diesel 3.0-liter V-6 engine joins the A6 lineup with 240 horsepower and a massive 428 pounds-feet of torque. The 3.0 TDI diesel and 3.0T model with a supercharged gas V-6 are available in the Premium Plus and Prestige variants. Horsepower for the base 2.0T model's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder rises to 220 from 211.
The A6 comes with 17-inch alloy wheels power tilt/sliding sunroof, fog lamps, dual exhaust, and power folding side mirrors. 18-, 19-, and 20-inch wheels available, as well as xenon or LED headlamps. S Line Sport Appearance Package available.
Fitted standard with leather upholstery, the A6 has a variety of additional options include MMi multimedia system with available Audi Connect information system, heads-up display, Bose or Bang & Olufsen stereo, heated rear seats and ventilated front seats, and four-zone climate control.
Under the Hood
The A6 is powered by a 220-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter gas four-cylinder engine (2.0T), with 2 additional engine options available in the 310-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter gas V-6 (3.0T) and 240-hp, turbo-diesel 3.0-liter V-6 (3.0 TDI). Coming in either front-drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic (2.0T), or All-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic (3.0T and 3.0 TDI).
The Audi A6 comes standard with 8 airbags, antilock brakes with electronic stability control and traction control, and collision avoidance system with blind spot monitoring. Available active lane assist, parking sensors, and night vision.
