2009 Acura RDX Overview
For drivers looking for the “sport” aspect of SUV, the 2009 Acura RDX is the choice for a compact crossover vehicle in tune with this type of off-road handling. 

The RDX comes turbocharged with a 2.3-liter, 240-horsepower four-cylinder engine with 260 pounds-feet of torque. Fully-equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission and the automaker’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system, any terrain is sure to have met its match through management of weight distribution on both front or rear and left or right wheels.  

Competing in the compact luxury SUV category, the RDX performs on the same level as the BMW X3, Infiniti EX35 and Land Rover LR2. Leather sport seats, a high-power audio system and Bluetooth connectivity are sure to please for the refined driver. Smaller than its midsize MDX sibling, the RDX features front bucket leather heated seats and a 60/40-split folding rear bench for comfortable seating of 5 passengers. Accented steering wheel and center console controls are desired features, paired with interior cabin storage space and an 8-inch Multi-Information Display for seat and mirror position memory and traffic information look-up. 

Every RDX comes with standard front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags with rollover sensors, active front head restraints and both stability and traction control. This grouping of safety features are furthered by high-intensity-discharge headlights and side mirrors with redundant turn signals that garnered the RDX a five-star government crash test rating.
