Taking a cue from our corporate headquarters in Chicago, Cars.com Santa Monica recently took part in our very own "Build a Backpack" program for needy schoolchildren. Our employees spent their own money to buy 22 backpacks and fill them with much needed school supplies for elementary to high school students within the Santa Monica School District.
Within the Santa Monica School District alone, almost a third of the children grades K-12 start the school year with very few or no school supplies. We are happy that we were able to take a small step in making a huge effect in a child's academic future.
