2010 Lincoln Navigator Overview
When luxury, quality and refinement join together, you get the sleek yet rugged and capable 2010 Lincoln Navigator.
The 2010 Lincoln Navigator comes with a 300-horsepower, 5.4-liter V-8 engine, is mated to a six-speed automatic, and achieves a 14 city/20 highway mpg rating with the two-wheel drive model. The low power rating is the one area where the Navigator falls way short of the competition, as many competitors weigh in at or near 400-horsepower. Despite a lack of acceleration, the Navigator’s towing capabilities are essentially second to none: 8,800-pound towing capacity is standard, with options to take that number to 9,200 pounds. In addition, the Navigator offers trailer stabilization technology to ensure the safest possible towing experience.
The Navigator does not come fully loaded at its base price, but has a long list of options allowing buyers to choose the package and price just right for them. Inside the Navigator, THX speakers and Sirius Satellite Radio create a dynamic audio experience. Many other luxury features are left as options – like the hard-drive based navigation system – but the enormous amount of space is not. The 103 cubic feet of cargo space is second only to the much more expensive Cadillac Escalade. Premium leather seats cradle occupants. Dual zone climate control and heated seats keep all the riders cozy. Power running boards extend out from underneath the door to make getting in and out of the Navigator easy.
The 2010 Lincoln Navigator offers the full set of electronic and mechanical safety features. Five-star ratings on everything but rollover resistance speaks to the structural engineering excellence achieved by Navigator engineers. Antilock brakes, traction and stability control, all standard, work hard to prevent collisions and loss of vehicle control. Front, front side, and three-row head airbags cushion precious cargo in the event of unavoidable impact. After such an impact, the SOS Post-Crash Alert System activates the horn and emergency lights to notify passersby and emergency vehicles as to the location of the damaged Navigator.
Not only is the 2010 Lincoln Navigator the most affordable full-size luxury SUV in its class, but it offers unique power running boards, and is very attractive for its highly functional features – highlighted by the massive 8,800 pound standard towing capacity.
