2010 Honda Accord Overview
A full size sedan platform and excellent engine options pair with a great reliability reputation making the 2010 Honda Accord a sensible sedan for all occasions.

Available in either coupe or sedan forms the Accord is distinct as ever. Not only can you choose between the coupe and sedan, but between four trim levels for the sedan: LX, LX Premium, EX, EX-L, and three trims for the coupe: LX-S, EX and EX-L. And if that wasn’t enough to choose from, pick between three engines: a 177-horsepower, 2.4-liter I-4, 190-horsepower, 2.4-liter I-4 and a 271-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6. Both automatic and manual transmissions are available on the four-cylinder engine, while the V-6 features Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management system, a fuel-saving cylinder-deactivation technology when mated to an automatic transmission.

The Accord gets excellent fuel economy with 17-22 mpg in the city and 25-31 mpg on the highway.   The Accord’s fuel efficiency is on par with its competitors—the Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry.

Subtle interior design tweaks, Bluetooth connectivity and leather seating distinguish the 2010 Honda Accord from the 2009 edition. Three audio systems offer CD with MP3 and other media file playback capability. The entry-level stereo pumps out 160 watts of sound through six speakers, and an upgrade is available to a six-CD unit. The top-end stereo is a bumping 270-watt unit with seven speakers, including an eight-inch subwoofer. XM Satellite Radio is available. For your destination finding pleasure, Honda’s navigation system is offered. This system features Zagat Survey™ information so you can find restaurants, night clubs and more. For exterior appeal, 17-inch wheels are standard, and 18-inch aluminum wheels are available on the V-6 coupe.

For your driving safety, the Accord gets accolades for its Advanced Compatibility Engineering™, which is a fancy way of saying the front of the body received a lot of attention in crash optimization. The 2010 Honda Accord coupe and sedan achieve Five-Star crash test ratings from NHTSA, except for a Three-Star rating in side-impact testing at the sedan’s passenger rear position and a Four-Star rating on the coupe’s driver side. Available traction and stability control systems, along with four-wheel antilock brakes, help the driver stay in control.

If you like safety, reliability, excellent fuel economy and a plethora of trim levels in both sedan and coupe form, you are sure to love the 2010 Honda Accord.
