GMC Overview:
After jumping into the hybrid segment last year, GMC unleashes a good ‘ol fashioned SUV—the all-new Terrain. The five-seat 2010 Terrain crossover is related to the Chevy Equinox and receives an impressive 17-22 mpg in the city and 24-32 mpg on the highway.  The Terrain boasts a 264-horsepower V-6, flexible seating a standard backup camera and USB audio port. The Terrain takes the place of the discontinued Envoy.

GMC got efficient last year with the release of the Sierra 1500 Hybrid pickup truck, which increased its fuel economy 25 percent compared to gas-only Sierra.  That translates to 20-21 mpg in the city and 20-22 mpg on the highway. Pretty impressive considering that the Sierra 1500 Hybrid retains its power with a 6.0-liter, 332-horsepower V-8.

The full-size Sierra 1500 pickup truck adds standard side and curtain airbags, stability control and E85 capability. The Sierra 2500HD or Sierra 3500HD are better choices for more heavy-duty hauling and towing. The combination of a Duramax diesel and Allison six-speed automatic transmission yields 365-horsepower and 13,000 pounds of towing capacity.

The compact Canyon pickup is a twin to the Chevy Colorado and features an available 300-horsepower V-8. The Canyon receives variable valve timing for improved emissions and slightly better performance.

One of GM’s most popular vehicles, the Yukon and extended-length Yukon XL 1500 SUV, boasts massive power with a 6.2-liter, 403-horsepower V-8 that can run on E85. The Yukon seats up to nine passengers or accommodate 108.9 cubic feet of cargo space when all rows are stowed. More space and utility is available in the half-ton Yukon XL 1500 and three-quarter-ton Yukon XL 2500, which are versions of the top-of-the-line Denali trim.

Just like the Sierra 1500 Hybrid, the Yukon Hybrid – a full-size SUV that promises a 25 percent improvement in overall gas mileage. A gasoline/electric V-8 drive train provides an impressive 6,000-pound towing capacity, while the model is available in a variety of trim levels with spacious seating.

The spacious and flexible vehicle, the Acadia crossover SUV offers sharp styling and a wealth of amenities. Wide rear doors make for an easy step-in and a tapered roof line and rear spoiler display a very elegant design. The Acadia has a 3.6-liter, 288-horsepower V-6 engine with direct-injection technology.

The Savana 1500, 2500 and 3500 full-size van receive E85 capability, remote start and variable valve timing on the V-8 engines. With three distinct trim levels, the cargo-hauling capacity matches whatever your needs may be, while seating capacity reaches 15 occupants.
